Can you wear this fleece as an outer layer in winter?

Absolutely. Thanks to its thick structure and cut, it works great as a standalone layer on cold days or under a jacket – even in freezing conditions.

The Patriot fleece comes with six functional pockets:

• two chest pockets with cable routing ports
• two shoulder pockets
• one pocket on the left forearm
• one large back pocket (so-called "poacher's pocket") at kidney level

Are the pockets practical in the field and under heavy load?

Definitely. Their placement helps with gear organization, and the back so called poacher’s pocket is a smart solution when you need extra space without sacrificing freedom of movement.
