The Garmin GPSMAP 551 GPS Chartplotter is an impressive yet compact chartplotter which boasts a very bright 5-inch QVGA colour display as well as a high-speed digital design that improves its map drawing and panning speeds.

The Garmin GPSMAP 551 GPS Chartplotter is supplied ready to be installed out of the box and with an easy-to-use interface and a built-in, satellite-enhanced worldwide basemap and it is also pre-loaded with marine charts for the UK and Ireland.

The Garmin GPSMAP 551 can also be loaded with BlueChart g2 Vision cards that fit in the integral SC card slotfor added features and functionality such as high-resolution satellite imagery, Mariner’s and Fish Eye views and Auto Guidance technology.

The Garmin GPSMAP 551 GPS Chartplotter is also supplied complete with a high-sensitivity GPS receiver for superior satellite tracking and quicker acquisition times.

The GPSMAP 551 is also NMEA 2000-compatible for easy connectivity with sensors, instruments and other devices that may be introduced by Garmin in the future.
