Echomax 230BR Radar Reflector

The Echomax 230BR Radar Reflector is a development of the Echomax design and recorded a very impressive peak radar cross-section performance of 24 m², exceeding RORC/ORC and the ISO 8729-1 requirements.

This revised model is designed to directly replace Firdell Blipper 210-7 Radar Reflectors and has the mounting holes centred exactly to match the mast mounting brackets of Firdell Blipper 210-7 models. Therefore you do not need to replace your existing mast brackets!

In independent tests conducted by DERA (May 2002), the Echomax 230BR exceeded the performance of the Blipper 210-7 by nearly 4 times.

The Echomax 230BR can be halyard mounted as standard or mast mounted with optional brackets.

Suitable for medium-sized vessels and encased in robust polyethylene, the EM230BR model has been successfully tested by QinetiQ to ISO 8729, SHIPS WHEEL MARK, SOLAS RORC and ORC and meets sections A.1/1.33 and A.1/4.39 of annex A1 of Marine Directive 98/95/EC.

Echomax EM230 has now been allocated a NATO Stock No. 5840-99-742-6193 following the adoption and use of the Echomax EM230 by the UK military forces and others throughout the world.
