The Katadyn Superdyn Filter Element is a water filter element that is often found used in household water filter systems.

The Superdyn is a combined filter element consisting of microporous ceramic and a high-performance activated carbon block. Suspended matter, bacteria and parasites such as Cryptosporidium and Giardia are retained on the ceramic surface without the use of chemicals. The inner activated carbon block adsorbs free chlorine and other organic contaminants that contribute to bad tastes and odours and it reduces the amount of lead and other heavy metals.

Thanks to the very large internal surface of the activated carbon block, replacement of the Katadyn Superdyn Filter Element is recommended after 6 months or 6000 L.
