The Jotron TR-810 VHF AM Multi Purpose Radio Last Resort Version 83200LR is based on the Jotron TR-810 VHF AM Multi Purpose Radio that has been designed to be largely future-proof against possible requirements for the versatility of a ship-borne radio.
Basic qualities of the TR-810 VHF AM Multi Purpose Radio are that it is robust in construction yet still lightweight.
It is available in eight configurations: Vehicle, Desktop, Man-Portable, Sub Rack*, Offshore* and this one, the TR-810 VHF AM Multi Purpose Radio Last Resort* Version.
The Last Resort Version is the TR-810 in desktop radio form but with a lithium-ion technology battery pack supplying the radio with a DC voltage when AC power fails. Battery status can be monitored on the battery unit itself or on the TR-810 display. The battery capacity is 72Wh so that the TR-810 can have an independent performance lifetime of 7.5 hours in 10% Tx/30% Rx/60% idling at 10W output power. Up to 9.5 hours of performance can be achieved if the output power is reduced to 2.5W.
The operator’s control panel (OCP) is detachable from the compact base unit and communication between the two elements of the device is through a standard CAT-5 cable, this separation being what enables the versatility of its applications.
