It may lack the integrated pump and the baffled chambers of the SynMat Pump, but the Exped SynMat Basic 7.5 Sleeping Mat is still pleasantly warm, comfortable and compact.

The quality and workmanship are identical to Exped's baffled mats.

Features

• Light and warm: The SynMat Basic has an R value of 4. At about the same weight a standard 2.5 cm self-inflating mat only has an R value of 2.5. Further EMPA tests demonstrated that regular mats lose 3x more heat to cold ground than to the air. The conclusion: using a warmer mat you can save about 20% the weight of a sleeping bag
• To reduce air pressure when lying on the mat, just press on the one-way flap of the inflation valve and air will be expelled
• Repair kit with adhesive and fabric patches included
