Beal Rope Marking Ink allows you to overcome the situation where the climbing rope you have bought does not have the usual mark indicating the middle point of the length of the rope. There are occasions when it is helpful during a climb to know where the mid-point is and some climbers choose to mark other points on a rope to give them an idea how much rope there is left, for example when leading a pitch.

Beal Rope Marking Ink can also of course be used to mark the ends of the rope.

This Marking Ink has almost no stiffening effect on the rope and it will not readily be rubbed out when the rope scrapes against rock, earth and so on.

Beal Rope Marking Ink will not adversely affect polyamide (PA). The container holds enough ink to make, for example, thirty 5-cm marks with the integral handy roller at the container’s tip.
