if you are you an outdoor adventurer looking for sophistication in your timepiece then the Timex E-Altimeter Watch is designed for you.
With the E-Altimeter series, Timex have brought the reliable outdoor technology usually only found in digital watches to a classic and sophisticated analogue display.
Designed for the adventurer who desires something different, the E-Altimeter collection features a rare blend of cutting-edge technology coupled with distinctive styling, making it perfect for any setting from the office to the great outdoors.
The Timex E-Altimeter Watch really is watch design at its best. The altimeter function on the E-Altimeter has an operating range of -400 to 25,000 feet (-120 to 7600 metres) displaying accurate altitude data in both feet and metres and it can store and recall high and low altitudes within a specific time period. True to the watch’s signature analogue design, the altitude is indicated by a dedicated fourth hand, which points to measurements adorning the timepiece’s rugged 50-mm stainless steel case.
Like the entire Timex Expedition E-Instruments collection, the Timex E-Altimeter Watch operates on proprietary technology developed at the Timex Development Center in Pforzheim, Germany. Multiple sensors – in this case, an advanced barometric pressure sensor – and power-advanced four-to-six hand movements provide precise outdoor intelligence within the traditional analogue design.
Although the technology behind the E-Instruments collection is complex, the timepieces are intuitively designed, and are easy to use and calibrate. Each watch is water-resistant to 100 metres and boasts the renowned Indiglo nightlight to ensure timing visibility in low-light situations and in complete darkness.
