The Garmin chirp Geocache Wireless Beacon is a unique wireless beacon that was specifically designed for outdoors adventure geocaching.

Durable and waterproof, the Garmin chirp can communicate with and be programmed by any compatible wireless-enabled Garmin handheld (sold separately; see list below).

The Garmin chirp stores hints, multi-cache coordinates, counts visitors and confirms if the cache is nearby.

• Get and Store Hints: chirp can be programmed by any compatible wireless-enabled Garmin handheld to store geocaching hints and other information. When other geocachers arrive near your cache, they will be alerted that the cache is nearby and then they will be able to access the hints you have loaded into chirp. When you return, chirp will tell you how many visitors have been to your cache.
• Set up a Multi-cache: With chirp, setting up and maintaining a multi-cache has never been easier. Using your compatible Garmin handheld device, chirp automatically transmits the co-ordinates so other cachers can find each stage of your multi-cache. Or if you are on a multi-cache, chirp lets you download coordinates so there is no need to manually enter numerous sets of complex coordinates – just one simple touch and you are on your way to the next stage.
• Built to Cache, Built to Last: chirp was designed by geocachers so it is built to survive the rigours of the outdoors. chirp is password protected so you are the only one with programming powers. chirp has a battery life of up to 1 year and the battery is easy to replace. chirp is compact, durable and waterproof.
