The Petzl Zipka Headtorch is an innovative and versatile headlamp that can not only be worn on the head in the standard manner but can also be worn on the wrist for a great ability to point the light wherever you wish.
But more than that, thanks to the Petzl exclusive adjustable and retractable cord, the Petzl Zipka Headtorch can also be attached to a tent pole, a seat post or other such structure for the convenience of a mounted light.
The Petzl Zipka Headtorch has two modes of lighting that you can easily switch between to suit your current need.
The limited movement lighting mode gives you up to 100 lumens of illumination over a distance of up to 55 metres so you can confidently stride out down the garden to the shed, from the tent to the camp site washing block and so on where you are not concerned to have brighter illumination in case of coming upon unexpected hazards such as when offroad biking and so on.
The proximity lighting mode provides a wide and not so bright light that lets you get on with all sorts of close-range activities while there will not be the glare that could be a distraction and annoyance to others around you.
The proximity lighting mode gives you a very long battery life of up to about 180 hours and limited movement mode gives you up to 120 hours. It is more likely you will regularly switch between the two modes and the battery lifetime will vary accordingly.
