The insulation in this jacket benefits from Berghaus Hydrodown technology, which gives the duck down a hydrophobic durable water repellent (DWR) treatment that results in the down absorbing less water, drying more quickly and the loft of the insulation recovering to give its best performance more quickly.
The outer fabric is Berghaus AQ2, which is light in weight and provides waterproof protection as well as breathability.
The breathability means that water vapour can escape into the atmosphere so perspiration will not all have to lie on your skin, chilling the skin and feeling uncomfortable.
The jacket features a set of six pockets for reachable storage, a covered front zip and arm articulation for ease of handling equipment. The fixed hood has a generous fur trim that can be detached if not required.

The Ulvetanna Parka takes its name from a very remote 4500-ft cliff situated in Queen Maud Land, Antarctica and subject to temperatures down to -40°C and hurricane force winds. It was first climbed in 1994.
