Child and Baby Life Jackets really are available for babies as well as for infants and juniors.
Please read the information below to help you determine the right life jacket model for your child or baby.
Life jackets are recommended for children as they are designed to turn the wearer face up to prevent drowning should they fall in the water unconscious. Buoyancy aids will only keep the wearer afloat.
Buoyancy aids and life jackets must fit properly. It is especially important that children's life jackets are not bought so that they will grow in to them. Correct fit is more important than weight class. For example, a person of, say, 73 kg should select a 50-70 kg life jacket or buoyancy aid if that would give a better fit.
Please note: Automatic Life Jackets: We do not ship gas cylinders to outside the UK.
