Optimum Time Endurance Watch

Further to the request by Jill Thomas in the February edition of ETN, specialist sports timer company Optimum Time took up the challenge and have wasted no time in producing “The Endurance Watch”.

Utilising most of the same technology as their highly successful “Ultimate Event Watch”, the Endurance Watch features include:

•   Jumbo 6 Digit display with 16mm digits enabling the rider to view the time easily even at speed
•   Adjustable viewing angle, the watch module can be turned within its case allowing easy viewing at any angle
•   Normal time clock with 12 or 24 hour display
• Count up stop watch, initially running in minutes, seconds, tenths and hundreds after 40 minutes this becomes hours, minutes and seconds
• Programmable alarm
•   Positive click buttons
•   Back light facility for low-light use
• Split time

Like its Event counterpart, the Jumbo Endurance comes complete with an elasticised strap and is water resistant to a depth of 10 metres, should you feel the need to swim in it However this feature is a must when washing down or cooling off hot horses at a vet stop when time is of the essence and having to remove your watch wastes valuable seconds.

Already tried and tested by the former European Champion Jill Thomas who declared: “The watch is very good, lightweight, and easy to read”, and when asked would she buy one it was an emphatic "Yes". Currently being tried and tested by the Endurance Association so watch this space.
