The Echomax EM230 Midi Basemount Radar Reflector is the ideal radar reflector for frame mounting on the stern of RIBs or on sports boats and has been fitted to RNLI inshore rescue boats.

This model has moulded slots to fit 4 x 10-mm bolts through holes to be drilled in the plate at the top of the A frame on a RIB.

Echomax are highly regarded for their optimal patterns of radar reflection which regularly outperform competing units. Mounted on your frame with optional navigation light on top, the Echomax solves two frequently faced problems at once.

Following exhaustive sea trials at QinetiQ, the Echomax EM230 Midi was chosen by the RNLI as best reflector for their RIBS although mounted only 2 m above sea level (ISO/RORC recommend a minimum of 4 m above sea level).

The Echomax 230 Midi Basemount exceeds the RORC-ORC requirement of 10 sq m.
