A pro mountaineering pack, the BCA Alp 40 Backpack is designed for dedicated backcountry skiers, guides and patrollers.

A detachable lid with large pocket reveals the roll top lid, adding extra waterproofability and security for your kit. The Alp 40 Backpack features dedicated compartments on the rear for a shovel blade as well as a side pocket for your shovel handle and snow probes, meaning all you gear is within quick and easy reach. The stowable innovative helmet strap securely holds your helmet on the exterior of the pack, saving space on the inside, and making it easier to reach for less time stood stationary.

BCA were the first to introduce freeze-proof hydration system compatibility. What this means is the Alp 40 Backpack uses heat drawn through the shoulder straps and back panel to keep both bladder and pipe above freezing.

As with all BCA stash packs, the Alp 40 Backpack has an easy access back panel zip, to reach gear in the bottom of the pack quickly, and meaning you do not have to unpack everything on the slope.

A frame and diagonal ski carry systems add versatility to the pack, with quick release/attachment.
