The Garmin Data Cable has bare wires so you can hard-wire your unit directly to another electronic device.

This enables you to send speed and position data to another device, such as a chartplotter, computer, auto pilot, radar etc.

Please note: This data cable does not provide a power supply so you need to use your device's batteries as the power supply.
