The Carinthia Observer Plus Bivy Bag has two tent poles which form a dome at one end for the occupant to work with a fishing rod, a pair of binoculars or whatever else the bivy bag is being used as shelter for.

There is a spacious observation or activity opening at the front of the bivy bag that allows an sighting range of 180° but the bivy can also be closed completely in bad weather or overnight. Both the observation opening and the access opening are fitted with a mosquito net. There are five loops on the back of the Carinthia Observer Plus Bivy Bag to hold an optional insulating mat in place.

It is straightforward to get in and out of the bag via its L-shaped opening which can be closed off with two zippers. The zippers are protected by a specially designed storm flap to make them completely waterproof.
