With many climbers arguing that a trad rack is never complete without a couple of tricams, C.A.M.P. Tricams are the perfect solution.
Working like a one-sided cam, and with precise placement, the Tricam will lock into place with movement on the rope or, if you take a fall, giving possibly a more secure hold than a nut. However, for those hard placements, the Tricam can be used as a simple nut, fitting where traditional nuts may not.
Offering something of a speciality in unconventional placements, the Tricam is ideal for horizontal cracks, pockets and shallow vertical cracks. The C.A.M.P. Tricam can also be used in icy cracks where a regular cam may not be able to go.
Affordable, especially in the larger sizes, the C.A.M.P. Tricams are a great way to augment a rack.
