The Weems and Plath Protractor is a very useful development with its source in the much-used Breton Plotter (aka Portland Plotter).

The Weems and Plath Protractor has a movable compass rose grid that can be used to lay off a course or bearing, measure the distance between any two points, plot the position on a chart from a given set of coordinates and also determine the coordinates of any position on the chart.

Variations can be pre-set on the movable rose for your convenience in plotting compass bearings more easily.

The edges feature graduations markings in both inches and centimetres. In addition, a pencil with its own sharpener are included.
