As with the original Alpha sport watch, Mio Alpha 2 transmits EKG-accurate heart rate data from your wrist without a chest strap and sends it to popular fitness apps, such as Endomondo, Strava, MapMyRun and more. Here are some cool new features we've added to Mio Alpha 2.

Mio Alpha 2 gives you real-time, continuous feedback on how your body is responding to exercise by displaying your heart rate directly on the LCD screen. Configure your heart rate zones and receive audible and LED colour alerts to keep you in your target zone.
Mio Alpha 2 transmits your heart rate data via Bluetooth (4.0) to Mio GO and hundreds of other compatible iPhone and Android apps, so you can track your workout your way. The Mio GO app can be used to customize heart rate zones, and select display screens.
The electro-optical cell in our heart rate sensor "senses" the volume of blood under your skin. From there, sophisticated algorithms are applied so that your heart's true rhythm can be detected.
With a 0.99 correlation to EKG in laboratory testing, Mio optical heart rate technology matches or outperforms the top heart rate monitor chest straps — even while running and cycling at high performance speeds.
