Their primary purpose was for use by swimmers and other watersports participants to keep water out of their ears down to a depth of about 5 metres.
But they are very effective if you want a good night’s sleep, if you suffer when the air pressure changes during a flight or if you work in a noisy environment.
These earplugs can be used by children from 3 years of age upwards and you may find the best way for small children is to use one ear plug cut in half for each ear.
