Snugpak Softie Kilo Lightweight Sleeping Bag
The brand name for the synthetic (Polyester) filling we use for the softie range of sleeping bags. Though officially described as superfine high thermal the factory nickname quickly found its way onto the bags themselves. It uses superfine yarns bound with special resins to produce a luxurious down like feel. The yarns used are staple yarns
as they are natural insulations (as opposed to continuously extruded as in most synthetic fills) and a mixture of different yarn processes are applied to give a more random effect, that is some are curled, some crimped and some are just left as they are. The random nature of the process results in a product that closely resembles the structure of the natural down and the way it performs. Given all this technology softie is still easy to care for, washable, yet still retaining a lot of its thermal properties when wet. Softie is exclusive to Snugpak.
