SeaPro Marine Navigation Software: Lite & Lite+

Simple, low cost and easy to use

Electronic chart plotting has never been more affordable or simpler than with SeaPro Lite Marine Navigation Software.

This easy-to-use system combines high-quality charts with practical navigation functionality.

SeaPro Lite Marine Navigation Software is designed for those who wish to get to grips with PC-based chart plotters without the initial expense of a fully featured system or feel that the amount of sailing they do does not justify a more costly solution. Includes livechart and rasterchart compatibility.

Key Features

  • Simple set up - Just connect your GPS to the serial port of your computer to see your vessels position on the chart
  • Built-in support for multiple chart types both vector (Livechart) and raster (ARCS, BSB)
  • Seamless change between the different formats allows SeaPro Lite to automatically choose the best scaled chart for you (Lite+ only)
  • Chart rotation - Either Head up or North up
  • Flashing light sequences (on vector charts as available)
  • Chart zoom and panning tools - Move around charts quickly and easily
  • Route planning and monitoring - Position waypoints easily by clicking the mouse button or edit them manually for precise positioning. 'On Route' information includes bearing and distance to next waypoint. All routes can be saved and re-used as required
  • Autopilot control - Once a route has been created, information can be sent to the NMEA 0183-compatible autopilot allowing it to steer to each waypoint
  • Measure tool - Measure distances and bearings quickly
  • Extended track line - Shows your boat's position at 30 and 60 minutes based on current speed and course
  • Dockable toolbars - Place your toolbars where you need them, either on the chart or neatly stowed at the top, bottom or side of the screen
  • Folio mode - Charts may be selected manually or you can allow the system to choose the appropriate charts for you
  • Note: SeaPro lite+ in addition to Livecharts supports ARCS, BSB/BSB4 raster charts and S57 (including encoded versions)

Note 1: The minimum level depends on your operating system requirements.
For example you need at least 128 MBytes to effectively run Windows 2000 or XP.

Most medium range modern computers/laptops will meet the specifications for all of the above.

Note 2: Some laptops do not have a serial port and if so you will need to add a USB to serial cable.

Note 3: If your laptop does not have a parallel port, order the USB dongle option.

The above are recommended minimums especially with S57 and 3D; higher specifications will mean your PC will also work better with other/more applications and extend its useful life.
