Schatz Royal Mariner Clock Brass

Schatz is the leading manufacturer of classic ships' instruments and one of very few that still make the mechanical chiming movements that were so familiar to the naval and merchant seaman of 100 years ago.

The Schatz Royal Mariner Clock has two 8-day mechanical movements - one for the clock and one for the chimes to mark the time-honoured Ship's Bells naval watch system - four hours on, four hours off.

Each half hour is marked by an increasing number of strikes until eight bells - time to change over.

This is a top-of-the-range instrument equally at home in the saloons and the staterooms of the world's super-yachts.

The intricate workmanship is protected in a stove-lacquered, solid brass case with thick glass port, secured by a brass scuttle clamp.

The Royal Mariner Clock has black hands and numerals against a white dial.
