The Montane Men’s Minimus Waterproof Jacket is designed to work hard during fast-paced endurance activities in wet conditions.
It combines performance, weight and breathability to create a jacket that’s as much at home being put through its paces on the mountain top as it is on a trip out in stormy weather.
Weighing just 200 grams, the Montane Minimus is ultra-lightweight and can be packed into the size and shape of an apple so that is barely noticeable when not in use.
The Montane Men’s Minimus Waterproof Jacket is made of Pertex Shield fabric which allows for exceptional breathability levels and levels of performance that you would usually find at the high end of extreme mountain shells.

Each Montane garment has been given a specific fit based on the activities it is intended for and how many layers it is to be worn over.
This affects sizes so a medium in a jacket with an athletic mountain fit will feel much tighter than the same size in a jacket with a high mountain fit as it is designed to be worn over far fewer clothes.

Advantages
Whereas lightweight waterproof shells such as this are usually on the sweaty side, the Minimus excels by being refreshingly breathable. The Pertex Shield fabric helps the jacket stand out in the pack compared to jackets of a similar type by giving breathablility incomparable to most other brands.
Disadvantages
As it is not designed especially to cope with the often freezing mountain temperatures, outdoor enthusiasts wanting a bit more warmth and durability from their jackets may want to look at alternatives.
