The IC-M31 is a simple-to-use, value-for-money package that is sure to make waves in the marine market.
The compact Icom IC-M31 is designed for reliable, simple and safe operation. Featuring a one-piece, die-cast aluminium chassis and an ultra-durable polycarbonate case, the IC-M31 comes with either Li-ion or Ni-Cd battery pack. It locks firmly into place, offering a waterproof seal.
Despite its competitive price, the IC-M31 still carries many of the features that users have come to expect from Icom. These include one-touch channel selection TAG scanning; one-touch channel 16 selection; normal/priority scan selections; and dual/triple watch. There's even a self-check diagnostic feature.
The clear LCD on the IC-M31 is one of the biggest on the market and, with the backlighting turned on, channel numbers and other display indications (like the 4-level remaining power indicator) are easy to see, day or night. The generously-sized keypad is also backlit and settings may be locked by the radio user to prevent accidental channel changing.
All US, International and Marina channels are built in. A sturdy belt clip comes as standard or the user may upgrade to the optional swing-type, quick-remove belt clip.
