The Icom IC-M505 VHF and DSC unit are now the benchmark by which all other fixed VHF is measured.

The IC-M505 is suitable for leisure users, small commercial vessels, HM Coastguard, marine police, small rescue organisations etc.

• The Icom IC-M505 and remote control handset, HM-162, are waterproof to IPX8 (1.5 m for 30 minutes) and are more waterproof than anything else on the market.
• The command mike is unique in that you can control all the M505 functions remotely up to 21 m from the base unit, including DSC, loud hailer and foghorn
• When connected to a suitable GPS potter, the IC-M505 will allow a visual display of incoming DSC distress alert and position requests.
• Linked to a two-way hailer horn, communication with other boats or deck-hands is easy. The built-in amplifier increases talk power to 25W making your message loud and clear. Four fog horn patterns are available for the automatic foghorn, adding further to the safety to the vessel.
• ICOM now offer an extended 3 year warranty for this VHF unit.

Accessories include optional HM-126RB/RG remote hand microphone, DC power cable, flush mounting kit, Microphone hanger kit and handbook. The HM-162 comes supplied with the OPC-1540 Extension cable (6m/20ft) and Microphone hanger kit.
