Grivel G10 Crampons with Antiball Plates

Perfect for ski touring or light mountaineering, the Grivel G10 Crampons with Antiball Plates are a ten point, fully adjustable, one size fits all crampon.

Featuring a new classic flex bar, the G10 Crampons are suited to a semi rigid boot, ideal for trekking. Able to fit near all size of boot also means the G10 Crampons are a great crampon for women or children where a small foot size does not require so many points under it.

’Balling’ is what happens when the crampons build up layers of compressed snow and ice under the fore and rear plates, meaning the points are not able to dig fully into the walking surface. However, the antiballing plates supplied with the G10 Crampons make this a thing of the past, ensuring a safer and securer operation on all grades of ice and snow.

The G10 Crampons are available with one of two binding systems:

Cramp-O-Matic – suited to plastic mountaineering boots with a rigid sole and substantial toe and heel welts. A nylon speed lever at the rear secures the boot, and a fixed stailess steel front bale prevents total loss of the crampon should they be forced from the boot.

New-Matic – using the same rear bale as the C-O-M, the New-Matic system offers more versatility and can be worn with overboots, or where the front welts are shallow and worn. The plastic harness system is hinged from the front posts to create a simple, secure, yet comfortable binding.
