Grivel Steel Blade Shovel
A super-light shovel designed for mountain rescue, the Grivel Steel Blade Shovel was winner of the Outdoor Industry Silver Award in 2008.
Panic-proof, and requiring no assembly, the Steel Blade Shovel can be used in conjunction with a specially designed handle, or with an ice axe, giving it extra reach. Alternatively, in tight snow holes, the ergonomic design allows it to be used with ease giving it real versatility. Side handles also give the user a whole range of possible grips.
The blade itself is, as the name suggests, stainless steel, making it extra strong. With an especially wide blade, the Steel Blade Shovel is designed to move large amounts of snow faster than many other snow shovels on the market, yet weighing in at only 398 g, it is quite possibly the lightest available.
The Steel Blade Shovel can be easily strapped to the back of a rucksack, saving pack space and ensuring it can be comfortably transported.
