Gel Batteries for solar and wind power
Dryfit Sportsline Series
The absolutely maintenance-free gel battery for starting and on-board power.
The Dryfit Sportsline series offers three battery functions combined into one battery:
- Powerful engine start-up
- Reliable
mains power supply to all on-board outlets
- Energy-saving,
environmentally friendly storage of solar energy
Dryfit technology consists of closed-system batteries in which the electrolyte is enclosed
in a gel. This provides a variety of advantages over conventional systems.
- Dryfit Sportsline batteries are absolutely maintenance-free throughout their entire
service life
- Powerful engine start-up is no problem even when the batteries have not been used for
months.
- Extremely low gassing and no acid vapours are released
- Can be installed within the
interiors of vehicles and boats where people eat and sleep
- Can operate at any angle and even under water!
|
Maintenance Free
and Sealed
Each
cell is sealed by a valve preventing penetration by airborne oxygen. Excess
pressure (from overcharging) is vented and the valve resets. Gas within
the battery is recombined to form water. Therefore no water topping up
or filling is needed and no acid spill will occur |
Wide Applications
Dryfit
Sportsline batteries are designed for applications in marine, automotive,
engine start and solar applications |
|
Extremely Low Self-Discharge
Less than 3% of the rated capacity per month in storage is lost at 20°C. This means batteries can be stored for long periods without recharging |
High Cycle Life
|
|
Extremely low gassing.
Each cell is closed with a safety valve and excess pressure can escape if the
battery is overcharged. Acid vapors cannot escape and the gas in each
cell is reconverted into water |
Safe for Transport
Batteries
comply with Federal Office of Road Safety Schedule to ACA 94-03when
transported by road and with IMDG paragraph A67 for airfreight |
|
Vibration, shock and impact
proof
Plates
are embedded in gel with robust casing complies to DIN and military requirements |
Approvals
|
|
Economical
Excellent
performance/price ratio and very low service costs |
Deep Discharge Resistant
Batteries
can survive deep discharges and still recover their capacity. Even after
4 weeks left flat the battery can recover to 80% after 48 hours recharging
and to 100% after a few cycles |

The Cold Crank Amps (SAE) is
a guide to the ability to swing a motor over in cold conditions. It is measured
at -18°C, and a min voltage of 7.2 volts after 30 secs, and
6 volts after 90 seconds.
The Reserve Capacity is the
approximate time that a current of 25 amps may be maintained until the battery
voltage falls to 10.5 volts. It is a guide to the length of time the battery
will last with accessories turned on and the motor not running.
