Suunto Vector Black Positive Face Watch

The Suunto Vector ABC Watch combines an altimeter, barometer and electronic compass with all the features of a sophisticated sports watch.

The Suunto Vector gathers vital information about the surrounding environment, whether mountains, bike tracks or ski slopes.

The ergonomic design of the Vector, with a large display and convenient function buttons, makes it easy to use even in the harshest conditions. The Vector can be set to display data in imperial or metric units, has an electro-luminescent backlight and a user-replaceable battery. The clear logic of the user interface makes the Suunto Vector the leading adventurer's tool.

The altimeter features a range up to 9000 metres (29,500 ft), which puts all 14 of the world’s 8000+ metre summits within the avid climber’s range. The Vector features an altitude-difference measurement function for tracking vertical progress between stages. It has an automatic 24-h memory that stores altitude and ascent/descent rate for every hour and also features an adjustable altitude alarm and different memory functions.

With the logbook function, you can record total and cumulative vertical ascents and descents as well as the number of runs skied.

The Vector displays the current barometric pressure and temperature, which is valuable information for forecasting weather changes. The Vector automatically records barometric data over the past 4 days: the first 6 hours in 1-hour intervals and after that in 6-hour intervals. Once the reference altitude is correctly set, the instrument also shows the present sea-level pressure, which makes it easier to read and understand barometric pressure at high altitudes.

The electronic compass has a bubble level for accurate readings. In the horizontal position, when the liquid bubble of the level is centred, the Suunto Vector is able to give bearings with 3° accuracy. The compass mode displays the cardinal or half-cardinal point and the north-south arrow. It can also be set to track a certain bearing to help following of the chosen direction in the terrain. The declination adjustment function allows the user to correct the difference between true north and magnetic north.

In addition to the different outdoors-related functions, the Vector also displays normal time . It has three daily alarms, a calendar programmed to the year 2089 and a stopwatch with split-time measurement and a countdown timer. The time can be shown in 12- or 24-hour format.
