All Alfatronix units are designed and built to be extremely rugged, vibration resistant, splash-proof and very compact. All units come with a separate clip-on mounting bracket for ease of installation. Because they are so efficient they produce very little heat - unlike conventional linear converters and so can be mounted just about anywhere there is a free flow of air, even under a dashboard. The only other essential requirement is that they are not subjected to water.
