Serengeti Ferrara Sunglasses

Serengeti Ferrara Sunglasses are exceptionally smart thanks to their elegant styling with the particular feature of lenses that sit flush with the frame to give a very refined look.

The frame is made of Trivex, an extremely strong but very lightweight material with an attractive matt finish whichever colour you choose.

The front of the frame is complemented by the subtle but effective machine patterned decoration of the slim temples in stainless steel. The fit of this frame and temple combination is further assured thanks to the adjustable nosepads.

The lens options are all from the Serengeti Polar PhD synthetic lens range which, like the frame, are made of Trivex.

These lenses are as optically close as it is possible to get to glass lenses but they are 75% lighter than glass lenses and even weigh 10% less than polycarbonate lenses.

Serengeti Polar PhD are polarized and photochromatic. The polarization protects your vision from glare and reduces eye fatigue. Photochromatic light-reactive technology gives an instant response to changes of light intensity, lightening or darkening to maintain your vision at its best.

Serengeti Spectral Control reduces haze and glare, enhances contrast, sharpens vision and blocks out the blue light that contributes to eye fatigue.

The Polar PhD Drivers lens is of course an excellent choice for drivers, enhancing contrasts and colours and making identification of reds, yellows and greens (as in traffic lights) sharper. It also helps to relieve eye fatigue. At its lightest, this lens gives 21% light transmittance and at its darkest the figure is 9%.

The Polar PhD 555nm lens is ideal for bright light conditions. It manages yellow and green light transmission to help relax the eyes. The light silver mirror coating also reduces eyestrain by acting as an additional shield against glare. At its lightest, this lens gives 20% light transmittance and at its darkest the figure is 9%.

The Polar PhD CPG lens gets its initials from ‘cool photo grey’ and it is suited to all weather conditions and to coping with harsh glare. At its lightest, this lens gives 21% light transmittance and at its darkest the figure is 9%.
