Petromax HK500 Pressure Lantern
Petromax HK500 Pressure Lantern
The Petromax HK500 Pressure Lantern is an amazingly powerful type of paraffin lantern that was first developed in Germany in 1910 and that has been in production ever since.
Why? Well even today there is a need for independent light sources where there is no electricity – camping and boating for example – and the design has never been surpassed.
The metal parts of the Petromax HK500 are chromed brass (so they can’t rust) and its heat-hardened glass comes from the legendary Schott Glaswerks.
With simple, regular maintenance, the Petromax HK500 Pressure Lantern could last for decades and many WWII-era examples are still in use.
