Polartec Alpha, unlike down, does not need tightly constructed enclosing outer or inner fabrics to retain it because it is a woven material that is stable and durable so now the fabrics can contribute fully to the comfort derived from body heat and moisture vapour to be dissipated into the atmosphere.
