The Gerber Bear Grylls Intense Torch not only boasts a striking look but it also lives up to its name with its ultra-bright beam in high mode and in SOS mode which produces a very impressive 140 lumens of illumination with a beam that will extend for up to 89 metres.

This flashlight will be able to maintain such high-mode brilliance for up to 90 minutes on one set of two AA batteries. In medium mode, which still offers a very useful 35 lumens of light, those same batteries will last for 8 hours and 30 minutes.

The Gerber Bear Grylls Intense Torch has four modes – High, Medium, Low and SOS – and it also features a push button on the tail cap for activating the momentarily on mode as a signalling device.

This torch is easy to hold onto with its rubber grip wrapped round over half the length of the torch but even if you drop it on a smooth surface, its clever triangular shape will help stop it rolling as far as a conventional round model.
