With additional features to the Dakota 10, the Dakota 20 features a 3-axis tilt-compensated electronic compass that will show you where you are heading even when the unit is not held flat. The barometric altimeter will provide you with precise elevation readings and the microSD card slot enables you to add further mapping. Wireless unit-to-unit connectivity allows you to share waypoints, tracks, routes and geocaches wirelessly with other compatible garmin Dakota, Oregon, Colorado and Foretrex devices.

The Dakota comes pre-loaded with a worldwide basemap and has 850 MB of free internal memory for map transfers. Everyone from hikers to mountain bikers to geocachers can take advantage of this 850 MB memory, which can store up to 1000 waypoints, 50 routes, 2000 geocaches and an active tracklog of up to 10,000 points and 200 saved tracks.

Based on the innovative interface of Garmin’s award-winning Oregon series, the Dakota’s glove-friendly touchscreen display is easy to read and use in all conditions - responsive to the touch of your finger yet resistant to the forces of nature.
