The Berghaus AF fabric used in different versions for the exterior and the lining of the Berghaus Scafell Men’s HydroDown Fusion Insulated Jacket is breathable so perspiration can be released into the atmosphere to help keep you drier and therefore more comfortable during an energetic expedition.
AF is a tightly woven, synthetic fabric that provides excellent insulation retention properties, good packability, a high level of wind resistance (<5cfm) and superb breathability. AF is treated with a DWR finish that is durable to home laundering so that the water just keeps on shedding off this fabric.
HydroDown Fusion is a down and synthetic mix of HydroDown and HydroLoft. The down is given a DWR treatment and when combined with water-phobic HydroLoft fibres considerably less water is absorbed than regular down, it dries faster and retains its insulation properties even in wet conditions so you stay warmer for longer.
