	30A Shunt Charge Controller Our 30amp Shunt Charge Controller provides a versatile and cost effective solution for small scale battery based systems using our Wren Microturbine as a power input. We have taken well proven and trusted PV charge controller technology and adapted it for use with our Wren Micro-turbine range. Thanks to the unique design of the permanent magnet alternators used on our Wren Micro-turbine, it is possible to use ‘shunt’ regulation to prevent the turbine from overcharging the batteries without need for dumploads. The heart of the controller is based around a microprocessor control providing a selection of different charging cycles using Pulse Width Modulation (PWM). The controller also features a self-learning algorithm to provide accurate ‘state-of-charge’ (SOC) metering of the battery - The best insurance for a long battery lifetime. The controller also features a load disconnect facility to prevent the battery bank from becoming discharged to deeply and therefore further helps protect your battery bank. All of these features are packed into a compact anodised aluminium enclosure requiring a minimal mounting footprint. This allows hassle free connection and operation of the controller and Wren Micro-turbine.
