Climbing Harnesses
In the 1970's Edelrid brought the braided four - or six layer Edelrid chest
harness which everybody wore in Germany back then because this harness was the
first ground-breaking move away from being tied directly to the rope. Things
have come a long way since then and many will be surprised how many harnesses
Edelrid has in its catalogue and although many are multipurpose we have many
specific harnesses too. The Sport Climber has different demands on their harness
than the alpinist. Our newest harnesses have our new wonderful, practical and
good looking buckle the "easy glider". The click lock has been slimmed down to
fit our new 28mm webbing. In our new series we have worked on the comfort as
well as the safety in mind with 3D mesh, lighter and softer webbing and new
geometry. All our harnesses are made in Germany.
