Children's Life Jackets. For Juniors right down to Babies, outdoorgb supplies a complete range of high-quality life jackets and buoyancy aids for children at wholesale prices. We also sell buoyant
clothing and flotation
suits.
Selecting the correct model -
Life jackets and buoyancy aids perform different functions. Buoyancy aids give
maximum mobility but will not turn you over in the water. Life jackets have collars
and turn you to the safe back position.
Choosing the correct size -
Buoyancy aids must fit properly. It is especially important that children's
life jackets are not bought so that they will grow into them. Correct fit is
more important than weight class. For example, a person of say, 73 kg, should
select a 50-70 kg buoyancy aid if it is a better fit.
Bigger is not always better -
Greater buoyancy is bulkier (except inflatable life jackets as they are compact
until inflated). It is easy to believe that life jackets with the most buoyancy
are the best choice, however, bulky or fully inflated life jackets can make it
difficult to re-board once inflated.
